The beauty in acceptance.

I’m in the Botanic Gardens. I’m proud it’s one best garden’s in Europe. But concerned this new fame will bring a new set.

There’s a guy pacing the cafe. He’s part of St. Micheals House. They’ve always come here. Since my school days. The staff accept. The regulars Accept. The botanical students don’t even notice. That’s just the way it is.

But the tourists stare.

They’re uncomfortable. Unsure of someone who needs to move up and down from wall to wall.

He’s not oblivious. He says sorry if he bangs into you. He simply needs to move. To not be confined. Limited.

What label do you put on such a need?
